Can I convert an enterprise, partnership or LLP to Sdn. Bhd.?

Yes. This will involve registering a new company (Sdn Bhd), transferring your assets (if any) from enterprise/partnership to Sdn Bhd then deregistering the enterprise/partnership. Just let us know via email or WhatsApp, and we get everything ready for a smooth transition.

Please note: There is no direct conversion as enterprise, partnership and Sdn. Bhd. are under different legal systems and structures.

What should I do to open a business bank account after incorporation?

Immediately after your company secretary is appointed, you will receive an email on opening a business bank account. We will prepare all documents required and a banker (if you used the bank promo code) will schedule an appointment with you to open a business bank account.

If you decide you want to open an account in the future, you can easily use the "Create a request" feature in Altomate.

Is it legal to register my Sdn. Bhd. online through Altomate?

Yes, it is completely legal. Our company secretaries are licensed and compliant with the requirements set by the SSM.

Can I request a refund if I decide to cancel my Sdn. Bhd. registration?

Once you have submitted your incorporation form, any payment made is not refundable. If SSM has approved your company registration, you will need to pay for striking off and deregistering your company.

Do I have to appoint a company secretary for my company?

Yes, all Sdn. Bhd. must appoint a company secretary within 30 days from their date of incorporation.

Can I cancel my Company Secretarial Service and transfer to another company secretary?

Yes, you can. Charges will apply. If you are cancelling before the end of your 2-years contract you will be required to pay a termination charge of RM1,000 for early termination.

Who can register a private limited company (Sdn. Bhd.)?

Residents of Malaysia aged 18 years old and above, and those who are not disqualified under Section 198 of the Companies Act 2016.

What are the requirements for setting up a Sdn. Bhd.?

Minimum one resident director, Minimum one shareholder (Malaysian/Foreigner/Body Corporate), Minimum one Company Secretary who is certified and licensed under the Companies Commission of Malaysia, Minimum capital to be RM1.00.

Can a foreigner register a Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia?

Yes, but at least ONE director must be residing in Malaysia. A visa is needed if you are the sole director of the company and if you are not a Malaysian citizen.
